    Darkness

My soul is in utter chaos, in complete disarray. The pain is so overwhelming I must retreat into the dark corners to ease the mind numbing pain. Even then it still persists. Will it ever completely evaporate or will I stumble so far down into the darkness that I become lost and can not find my way back. Will I loose my self to this cold blackness that threatens my very soul in its tight grasp. How will this change me? Who will I become? Will I ever be able to deeply and truly Love again? Or will my heart harden to the point that nothing can penetrate it?

Who sent you down this path, this world is cruel and you will love again, I hope this process will wipe clean this hardness.

Following the adage that whatever gets attention becomes important, I usually eschew reinforcing dark poetry with glowing words. But, and this is important, you have asked the very thought of rational moral beings in the face of monstrous evil and betrayal. Will this evil get the best of me, or will love ultimately conquer? My life's bet is on love.

    Great emotion, hold tight

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
