DARKNESS

DARKNESS

where are the stars? where is the light
this is the darkest time of night
the darkness speaks when all is quiet
calling my name with all its might

Where are the stars?, where did they go
I can't see the sparkle where is the glow
They were my friends, on walks we'd go
I'd tell them my stories, I miss them so

Where are the stars?, how can this be?
can't one little star shine just for me?
with one small star, I know i'd see
That all this darkness, soon will flee.

At first I became depressed, and all alone, and ended with a ray of hope, nice ride. And it was cute an sweet, with good flow. a ten for sure

Such an innocent ,childlike,"airy" and exquisite poetic filigree. Its a jewel with a dreamy "star-ligt" wish: that the darkness of the world may go away."Can't one little star just shine for me?" It is not easy to ignore the piquant and plaintive mood of the impeccably composed quatrains of this ditty.,. . My rating is 10x10+

Thank you so much , I welcome your input and rating.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
