Dear God
Today I am sad to say
A loving, generous man has passed away.
From principal, to mentor, to friend
I can not believe our time has come to end.
For 18 years he’s been by my side,
To discipline, to guide, to be my guiding light.
His dedication never ended
No matter who; he always defended.
One thing I regret,
It hurts to say,
I never told him THANK YOU
For helping me be who I am today.
Dear God I ask you, do not wait
To let this man, pass through your gate.
For he has done so much on Earth,
Let him continue to do his work
Everyone else, please do not sway
From telling those who have done you good
How much you appreciate them today.
Before you know it, they go away.
A loving, generous man has passed away.
From principal, to mentor, to friend
I can not believe our time has come to end.
For 18 years he’s been by my side,
To discipline, to guide, to be my guiding light.
His dedication never ended
No matter who; he always defended.
One thing I regret,
It hurts to say,
I never told him THANK YOU
For helping me be who I am today.
Dear God I ask you, do not wait
To let this man, pass through your gate.
For he has done so much on Earth,
Let him continue to do his work
Everyone else, please do not sway
From telling those who have done you good
How much you appreciate them today.
Before you know it, they go away.
