Dear Mr. Obama

DON'T SEE ME FAIL

Look i know you are not the only person running this country,
but i am really desperate,
kids run the street where i'm from
and fathers gets arrested
homeless gets abused
women are used
drugs have gotten worse
and mayors and governor, to me, have gotten rehearsed

my time to grow up is right now
i want you to really stand up and crack down
and mister black man pres. whom the world admires
please, if you really here to make a change,
get my mom re-hired,
my dad got laid off,
and i can't afford my bill,
help my family, explain the vicious road-kill

you  know what that is,
or at least i assume you do,
they are the ones you wear the badge,
in the black and blue people plead insanity insteadof going to jail.
if you receive this in the mail please,
Remember DON'T SEE ME FAIL

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
