Where's Daddy? (Mom's Speech)

"No Man should take advantage of power. The authority to protect is very difficult. And a man who abuse such power, he cheats his was to a easy life... What type of man will i make of you?... Momma is doing her best on her own. But eventually when you are older, you would see that i was in need of a man's help at some point. Son it's just me and you but in the end your spirit shall rest in the hands of your father... No one but him should give you love." Mom said.
A knock came to the door. My mom kisses me on the forehead and go to answer it. I hear.

"excuse me... I am hear for Caleb Hughes"
"What do you want with him"
"We are CPS.... And we are to get him."
"what?.... Why?"
" I am sorry. But miss... Unfortunately, i can't give you that information. A letter will be sent to you on behalf of the child."
"i don't want a letter. If my child is leaving.
the only way my son leaves with you... Is if i Die."
"lady, lets not think that far.. May we come in."
"Do you have warrant?"
"no."
"then no you can't"
"lady, we are obligated to get this child away from you." that's when they see me. They walk in. My mom slaps the CPS Man in his face and says.

"don't you dare try to come in my home!" my mom points her finger... Yelling.
"Ma'am, you have no reason to be violent. That is offensive."
"I don't care.... U had no right to come in. "
"Ma'am, you have no choice or authority in this situation"
The man grabs for me and my mom runs and says "I told you you ain't takin him... Unless i die"
"The police would see to this"
The man calls the cops....dialing. While my mom picks me up and goes to dresser and get the 45 my grandfather gave her for protection. She holds the gun to my face.
"if you take him away.... I won't see him. So he will die before you do"
I see her shaking....
"Ma'am.... Please.... Your making a mistake. You could to jail, please... Put the gun away."
"no...!!!!"
They tried to go closer to me. But the trigger was pulled. I fell to the ground.
My mom was dead.
And i scream..... With Very Fast breathing i say
"now how am i going to know where's Daddy?"
"i am your daddy..." said the CPS Man
and I was left shocked....

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
