Poem Commentary

i FELL THAT DEPRESSION IS A DARKNESS THAT ACTUALLY CAN CONSUME ITS HOST AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO FIGHT IT. iF NOT FOR MY WORDS I THINK I'D BE CONSUMED MYSELF!

Depression

The darkness creeps down into your soul,
to the depths no one can fathom,
It can consume every waking thoughts,
It rears up at random.

It slithers out in a flow of tears,
or a yell or where no words are
spoken,
the darkness it haunts you in your dreams
until you are broken.

You see no hope to muster life on,
no reason at all to live,
It sits there feeding on your thoughts
this darkness only gives.

There are no happy thoughts once it gets hold,
no one knows the pain,
not a word can help you out,
with each new day the cycle begins again.
