    Distractions

    Distractions can cause destruction
They are intrusions that cause confusion
    Especially when they are attractions
They smell good, sound real good
    and they look so stunning
    but they are very cunning,
    Oh so clever, and deceitful
In your life they cause disruption
    In your mind corruption
    In your body obstruction
    In your soul devastation
So don’t be distracted by the attractive
Cause what may look good can
    Turn out to be bad
So keep your eye on the prize
and your mind focused on your purpose.

That is oh so true. I just allowed distraction to come into my life. What I thought was going to be pleasant turned into dread.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
