Don't Be So Quick To Judge

People are naturally quick to judge.
Especially the accused, he holds a grudge.
It’s not only because he is guilty, it’s because he’s scum that he believes he can do no wrong.

    Why lie?
    I know how it felt.
Lying there being abused my feelings neglected.
    I fell numb.
As numb as numb can get.
I felt like my childhood, swollen with regret.
I cried and I did fight.
I gave in and lied there as the end ran out of sight.

Don’t you tell me what you saw.
When you looked in my eyes, for I did not get raw.
I held my composure, my strength, ground my teeth.
No matter what you say cannot take away my beef.

I have been beaten and yes, I have been down, down, down.
From this situation I slit my wrist, and almost drowned.
You don’t know my fears and rape was never one.
I know it sounds crazy, but you can’t take pride from me, nothing-none!
I have been down already and I have been defeated,
But my heart is good, my soul is honest, and my life is worth living
Your life is lost with greed, your heart reeks with ache
For you will never be a whole man for repentance is not your cake.

Don’t judge so quickly, for some their skin is thicker than tear ducts
I have cried on my own time, in private and I have screamed in pain.
Don’t be so quick to judge, for you should feel ashamed!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
