Down The Woods (Twisted Fairytales)

Tick to-ck goes the clock.
Back and forth as i rock.
I have a story, i have to tell.
When I'm finished, you"ll know it well.

It was a strong and windy winters day.
Down the woods i went to play.
I always played on my own.
In the middle of now where was my home.

I walked through the forest,
as i normally do.
From behind me, there came
a great big Boo!!!

As i turned around,
all i could see,
was a small little goblin, in front of me.

He had green hair,
and a fearful smile,
a creepy stare and he smelt vile.

He looked at me up and down,
and grew a grin just like a clown.
"your just what I'm looking for" he did say.
And into my face, he sprayed a spray.

Suddenly i was fast asleep.
I collapsed to the ground beside his feet.

He took me down underground,
where everything was dark.
There was no noise.
There was no sound,
except for the smell of tree bark.

He took me to a great big room.
Which was bright and very warm.
It reminded me of a burial tomb.
Is he going to do me harm.

He tied me to a big blue rock.
Which glimmered in the light.
He then looked at his big round clock,
and pulled the ropes real tight.

He turned to me with a sneaky grin.
He looked me in the eyes.
He said to me "i always win."
I have many little spy's.

He said to me you are my dream.
I've waited for so long.
You are gonna be my queen.
Nothing will go wrong.

He had a potion in his hand.
He began to say a spell.
He waved around a magic wand
and began to ring a bell.

"when I'm done" he said to me,
"you will be my wife".
"you will never again be free,
i will own your life"

I turned my head away from him,
and looked down to my right.
On my face i put a grin,
down there, i saw a knife.

I got the knife in my hand,
and started to cut the rope.
This little man, i cannot stand.
I can get free i hope.

The rope it fell to the ground.
so i kicked him in the face.
I didn't dare look back,
as i ran from that place.

I ran from the woods.
I ran till i got home.
In my room is where i stood.
No more will i roam.

So if you see a goblin,
who has bright green hair.
Run as fast as you can,
and be very aware.........

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
