    Drink me

Do you mind if I take a few minutes of your time?
I'll try to be hasty, drifting these words into your vincinty.
Right now, I'd like to open you up,
pour myself into like wine filling up a cup,
    soothing audio and visual senses,
with a liquid descriptions of my person.
    Instinctually I cannot deny,
the fact that I have two sides.
Feminine elegance defines Yin, harboring repose, silenced
    with dark elements.
Masculine strength shapes Yang, exposing a light residing,
    in this bodliy frame.
    Presence of Chi, balancing energy,
opens my mind so I may imbibe, Divine guidance.
Awakening this third eye from it's slumber,
utters questions pertaing to endless wonders.
    Why are we here?
Why are so many consumed with fear?
Why do my eyes and ears have to intake,
innocence suffering at the hands of power hungry tyrants?
Closely relating to those dark ages when church and state,
    bunrned people on a stake.
Why does my soul feel imprisoned when I'm told it's free?
If I were FREE, I wouldn't worry of over stepping boundries,
    invisible lines boxing me in,
a small window gives me glimpses of a society saturated in contradictions.
This economy has me believing I'm a player in a monoply game.
A metal shoe skipping past park avenue.
    Everytime I roll the dice,
anxitey puts a strangle hold on me.
It's hard to breathe with all these images,
luxury tempting fingers to do some spending.
I better be careful with this pink and yellow money,
falling into a pit of debt will indeed render me helpless.
    Matetrialism luring gratification,
many fall prey to babylonian illusions,
hopes are stolen from imaginative dreams, full of expectations.
    It's not fair.
Oh, but who ever said life was fair?
    After walking 24 miles,
experiencing my own personal painfilled trials,
at moments screaming how life be a hard road to be bearing!
    I ask myself,
how can I not bear what is intended for me to learn here?
    Knowledge expands wisdom,
    making navigation clear.
Staying in tune with the melody of Chi,
augments vigor I wish commenced when beginning this journey.
There's a reason and rhyme for every story.
Sun and Moon demonstrate karma's mystery.
    My happiness depends on giving,
only then will I recieve universal blessings.
Corking this bottle on my liquid being,
will bring conclusion to my pouring myself into your psyche.
Have you had enough to drink?

"My happiness depends on giving, only then will I receive universal blessings" —— this is perfect.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
