E-Mail Mate (for him)

                         © by Chuck McGlawn/Chuckest@aol.com

You saw her post on line one day,

You E-Mail her, in it you say,

Your recent post sure caught my eye

I’m hoping I’m your kind of guy.

It started out with friendly chat

Followed by lots more of that

Then you put her on your Buddy List

For fear she’ll sign-on and be missed.

                           Now you’re exchanging jokes on-line

You both are having a real good time

Then deep inside you feel a stir

A connection made, “Could this be her?

E-Mail and Chat fuel a budding bond

Of friendship first and then beyond

The friendship grows into deep care

Then a lifetime of love for each to share.

That day will come when you meet

You’ll hug so warm and kiss so sweet

Then she reveals a soul so true

It’s filled with love, perhaps for you

You’ll make love as if you’re one

Then skin to skin after the fun

                           Naked in each other arms

                           Drinking in each other’s charms

And when the future calls your roll

Will it find you two soul to soul

You read her post, thought what a catch

And wound up with a lifelong match.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
