    Echoes

    Echoes in my mind,
    harsh, but still subdued.
They make me wonder, time to time,
is it all just a ruse?

Up and down, back and forth,
    they bounce around the turns.
    East, West, South, or North,
    whichever way the fire burns.

It started from a single spark,
but then it grew and grew.
Now it's a tempest in the dark
and there's nothing I can do.

Should I walk or should I run,
and which way should I go.
    Knowledge lies beyond the sun,
from here I just don't know.

These thoughts appear all the time,
    like a cavern, hollow through.
They're just echoes in my mind,
    harsh but still subdued.

Unfortunately,I can't rate your work any higher! Understanding another's word is what good poetry is about. This is felt.I drifted with it's message. Good one. 10,10,10.
