    Elf Song- Adrien

I walked softly through green forest
Before realizing I was not alone
    She stood right before me
The most beautiful creature that existed
I asked for her name with loving eyes
She merely giggled and ran away from me
We played chase for many moons
Before she let me catch her in my arms

    We walked for ageless summers
As the round of the wheel turned
Although chasing no more were we
    In company we stayed together
    Frolicking in daylight’s warm sun
    And chasing the moon away
    We talked on endlessly
Though our time together was short

The light played gaily on the ocean
When we walked to the center alone
    Clasping hands were ours together
An iris wreath circlet in her hair
The village feast lasted days after
The forest gay with dance and song
    The celebration continues
In our minds when we see each other

Now our days are spent together
They are ours and ours alone
We will never part our ways
Until nature’s sand for us wanes gone
    From now until forever
We spend our day in love’s circle round
    Sharing hearts and gentle words
    Every moment and day together.

very nice, moonlight and life playing together in the forest

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
