empty rooms

...empty picture frames fill my room - like reflections from a mirror - once you turn and walk away.

the light of a candle - the instant it's blown out - the sound of melting wax, now frozen - left in darkness, awaits the match

the forgotten ones - sit on cold hardwood floors - cutting pictures from People magazine - with dull shinny scissors - to fill empty frames.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
