    EULOGY(in remembrance of September 11,2001)

the brightness and warmth of the morning
belied the deception of the days promise
    the whispers were not heard
    over the usual din
    the cries of intention
    and unjust misguided passion
    were buried
    beneath the crossroads of business
    and commerce
    the briskness slowly abated
    into rote like ritual
in preparation for a normal days remittance

but in a spectral moment it changed
    blurring into a nightmare
morphing into the darkest part of Hell
    time stood still
    disbelief became fear
    those that could ran
as smoke and ash engulfed them
    some chose to jump
    and escape the fires
    knowing their fate
    yet facing it bravely

for those that could not escape
    lost to the flames
    lost to the devastation
    to the overwhelming rubble
    and for all who bravely
    entered there
    above and beyond duty's call
    to save
    to rescue
    and to comfort survivors
    we remember you
    we honor you
    we will stay strong
    and forward moving
    rising above the negative
    and in your memory
    love
    remains.

Thanks again my friend and fellow poet.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
