    Failure

I walk alone down this endless path
A journey I discovered so long ago
    Countless years of forgotten memories
Dreams of destruction only I know
I scream so loud, yet can not be heard
For this silence echoes through my soul
A nightmare I can not seem to escape
Haunting me through this lurking pain
My heart has fallen into emptiness
    My thoughts cloudy through visions
I feel no more what I can see
An aching that rages through my body
My mind replaying every destructive memory
    Words repeated through this silence
A deafening cry I can not escape
Tears are shed through a broken dream
I forget who I have become
Knowing I am my own source of sorrow
Desperate to fight for what I can not have
Yet seeing destruction I have caused
I am to blame for my own failures
For I can not escape this life I created
I destroyed a future I could not see
I took for granted a gift I did not know
My ability to see beyond my strengths
Has been drowned by hateful reminders
Now all I see is the darkness that surrounds me
A pain hidden in a shadow of remembrance
I know not what I feel is real
So I wait for my grave to set me free
From a life I do not belong to
And an idea that was forgotten so long ago..

This poem is so awesome I read each word as if I was saying them myself. I really love this one of all.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
