fake

Standing straight, painting another smile on her face, finds herself lost in space her mind racing at an untraceable pace. Someone asks her what is wrong, she tells the lie she's told all along"i'm fine" a subliminal message behind the lie. She wears long sleeves in an attempt at keeping her secrets unseen. Everyone tells her she'll be okay she doesn't believe it. Her mind constantly bellows as her friends wave to her and say "hello". Her distrust diminishes her light, she's losing a neverending fight. She refuses to cry, her wings to broken to fly. She feels worthless, but just smiled. She fakes it all, trying to prevent a fall. A fall she can't dodge, no return, her pain an eternal burn. The pain she tries to hide from the people she loves. They see right through the lies. Fake is all she is. To her fakeness is bliss.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
