wedding beginning her life is ending.

her brother is having a wedding her life is ending. Cut too deep she fades into an endless sleep. Her foster mother sees her,it's too late . The people she loves wonder why she took her life. She seemed alright, she had held on tight. She took every hit from life's whip, she lost her grip, achieved her death wish. Had succumbed to numb for over two months, then a week later she stopped. The emotions she fought, they've got her caught .Pinned against a wall, she falls and slips away never seeing another day. Her brother says "i do" she says "goodbye i love you"he finds out later he blames himself he says to himself how could i have not seen she needed to be free, i didn't help her. she sends her brother peace as she watches him grieve saying brother don't cry i'm fine now up here with god no more bloodshed go to bed just in your know my spirit is with you wherever you go. his wedding is beginning her life is ending.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
