    Fantasy

I live in a world of Fantasy,
This reality is defetnetly not for me.
All this killing, violence, and hatred,
is way to much to bare.
How can we save our planet,
from the people who just litter, make animals extinct,
    and tear this world apart?
How can we make people care and love each other,
the way that God cares and loves us all?
    I can't stand this anymore,
I'd rather find a world that i can bare.
One where i can be myself,
to a place so full of beauty, love and grace.
One with gentle wind that blows so gently through your hair,
and with people who truly care.
One with mountians and rainbows so big and beautiful,
One with enchanted creatures that only want to be your friend.
A place to call my own, A place where angels and fairies have flown.
A place where kids can be kids and have everything thier little hearts desire,
and never have to worry about right and wrong,
because here you never do any wrong.
A place where we can lay on top of the highest mountian,
to watch the beautiful clouds go by,
listening to the sweet music of the birds song,
and the wind blowing all around.
    Sliding down rainbows,
    and giving a helping hand.
This beautiful world called my fantasy will never truly be,
but it's real in my head and that's the world i wish everybody could see.

This is a very vivid poem. It shows you have a lot of imagination and can see pictures inside of your head and express them into words. That's something a good poet needs. I would suggest you take some time and would on your structure a little. A poem needs to have a constant flow about it. Though your work is good if people can find the flow then they will say it's not a poem. Keep going at it. For this being your first poem in 15 years it's good. You have potential. and a lot of it. You and I live in the same world. So I understand where you are coming from. We march side by side to a different beat that no one but us can hear. This is good Amy, really good. I hope to read more.

thank you i really appreciate that i did my best and will try a lot harder on my other poems

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
