Farewell

Farewell

The flower wilted
While resting in the rain.
Though near death
She cried out for the sun.
Her children were suffering
For the rain had ceased to fall.
Still the flower cried out
Calling for the sun.
Darkness came to place
A cool mist upon the ground.
Morning brought the sun
To brighten up the day.
Then the flower dried up
And simply blew away.

Just beautiful...

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
