FEAR THAT PROHIBIT

FEAR THAT PROHIBIT

One may fear the thing they need the most.

The fear of losing again,

The fear of gaining a life that has never been

The fear of being with the one whose hopes desire

May snatch them from you in a short while.

There is no fun in feeling this fear,

Yet it is safe, it protects you from the inevitable you think

Breaking through this thick bubble,

This hemisphere, this enigma of fear is not easy,

Taking the first step, facing all options it presents,

Realizing that if you never burst through this film that surrounds you,

You’ll never know what's beyond you.

Lost always in yourself, lonely, alone,  afraid of fear itself.

So take that step and hold your breath,

Let it out slowly then move ahead,

Pushing your way through till you see there is a light,

There is a hope,

There is a promise that goes beyond the fear you once held in your heart so very

dearly.

Thank you....coming from you I do feel flattered, your work is excellent...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
