    finding love again

Waiting for that day to come,
When love finds me and stays,
    Wondering when it will be,
    Hoping every day.
I can see it all like a fairy tale,
He’ll ride upon his big white horse,
    Taking me away from here,
    This dark and awful storm.

The gloom sets in and tears you apart,
    Feeding on every positive thought,
    It slowly sneaks into you,
    Showing you true horror,
When the only thing really holding you back ,
    Is your ragged, broken heart.
The only hurt that you have ever encountered,
    Has turned you against love.

    Caught inside yourself,
    Trying to escape,
    Looking for an open door,
That leads to what I seek.
    Hurting on the inside,
    No one even knows,
I try to locate this thing called happiness,
    But it’s impossible to find.
    Searching in every corner,
    Wishing I could see,
    Maybe if I find him,
    He will rescue me.

    Love is not forever,
I could have told you that.
He showed me love can be lost when he broke my heart,
    And gave it back.
There is usually a happy ending ,
    To every love affair,
    But in this case,
    I’m sad to say,
All that is left is sorrow, and despair.

There is not much that cures a broken heart,
The only way to fix one,
Is to fill it up with love,
Just because it did not work the first time,
Does not mean you should lose hope.

You finally find that one true love,
    You have waited patiently,
He was standing there all along,
But you were too blind to see.

Your heart was not ready to love,
    He waited until you healed,
    Now that you are happy,
Your prince charming has come to rescue you,
To cherish every moment with you he has,
    Loving you unconditionally,
    Forever, he vows.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
