Follow the Heart

Christ is standing at the door of our Heart knocking to come in.
For there and only there can He forgive and wash away our sin.

You see there is a place within the Heart that only Christ can satisfy
and fulfill.
Many have tried to satisfy and fill that place with fame, money, alcohol or a pill.

But those things still leave us empty and lost inside.
For they are self-made and full of pride.

So Jesus is the only answer this world should be looking for.
Because nothing else in this life can fulfill or complete us more.

And once we invite Christ in,
Then will the truest of journeys begin.

For a new life in Christ will start,
And continue forever, if we Follow the Heart.

Nice Job! Did you write this? I beleive and do my best to live the way God intended, but nobody's perfect and we all sin. My pastor and his brother is trying to help me thru some of my difficulties and make me think positively... It's hard to do when just about everything in my life is and has been negative! But I never resorted to drugs, alcohol, pills, or anything people use for washing away the memory of the past or the guilt of there sins. I resort to anger! But I'm trying! You seem to be a christian beleiver? Aq question, There are some things that I have not told the pastor and his brother because I don't knowe what they will say or think or judge me differently? Is that wrong of me? It's been bugging me for awhile now and I it's still a huge problem I have with even talking to the Lord about it. Even though he knows everything! Will i go to Hell or be punished more then I am...?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
