For My Friends
Everybody needs to know;
How to be a friend.
They're a gift you give yourself;
Until the very end.
A Friend will never let you down;
No matter what you do.
They lift you up when you are low;
And loyal through and through.
To have one is to be one;
For all eternity.
Their trust is never doubted;
Even when we disagree.
I fell lucky every day;
For my friends who share.
The bright light in their hearts;
And show how much they care.
So my friends I need to say;
From deep within my soul.
I will always be there;
You help make me whole.
Some folks never figure out;
Or they just won't learn.
True friendship isn't given;
It's a special thing you earn.
