If I may for a moment be candid,

raw, blunt, straight to da point

only if you can stand it.

He's gotten to me in da worst way,

    had my hair all dis-a-ray;

leavin me numb and f***ing up my day.

I am lost; lost in this world without him,

neva knew life could be so grim

hanging here all by myself on this limb.

If for a second may I be candid,

in depth, no lies, no suga coatin

    only because people demand it.

He has my mind baffled; not knowing how to act,

his ways, his attitude had me feelin like a lost girl black.

Just for a minute may I be candid,

    truthful, honest, without denial

I pray that I can stand it.

I am blind for he was my eyes which allowed me to see,

Sum say Nelly you free like Mi Mi,

I'll let her have da vocals and I'll keep my poetry.

    May I please be candid,

no put ons, no fronts, no cap up

My heart is broken becuz dats where his blow landed.

He's gone and I still remain here in this memory filled home

Elated he, elated thee, not elated me for I wish not to roam.

    Since I have been candid,

do you think he can stand it?

I just felt dat if I'm not honest with you then who can I be honest too?

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
