FRIENDSHIP

Parts of life can be called a jungle

In the maze of choices we may stumble

Sometimes we take the path of most ease

In our effort our peers to please

Other times logic prevails

And we choose a road that never fails

But in all our choices in all our actions

We always need our friendship factions

The people we know we can rely on

The kitten who for us becomes a lion

The tiger who detracts his claws

And wraps around us his giant paws

Swiping away the foe with a mighty clout

Who you can count on whenever danger’s about

Even when we are seemingly alone

The light of our friends fills the room

We know that at any given time

They are there at the end of the line

When the path you are travelling on

Seems like a minefield and so very long

Even if they can only offer an understanding ear

This can be enough to give us strength and quell the fear

True friendship is something we should cherish and hold dear

To remember and nourish through all the coming years

I love this, its a great write. So much being said and so true, awesome job

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
