From Michelle's Diary - August 13, 2006

I HEARD YOUR CALLS FROM MILES AWAY
PLAYFULLY YOU PASS BY ME AND I REJOICE LIKE A CHILD WITH A NEW TOY
AROUSING MY PLAYFUL SPIRIT
I CALL TO YOU MY BROTHER DOLPHIN
TO SHOW ME THE MYSTERIES THAT LIE BENEATH YOUR WORLD
TEACH ME HOW TO LOVE WITHOUT BOUNDARIES
IN THIS OCEAN OF EXISTENCE
LIKE THE CRASHING OF THE WAVES POUNDING ON THE SHORE
I HEARD YOUR VOICE CALLING ME
CALLING ME BACK
BACK TO THE PEACE OF THE SEA
TO SEE MY VISION UNFOLD WITH A PRAYER IN MY HEART
AND A SHIMMER OF HOPE IN MY EYE
THERE WERE MOMENTS IN MY LIFE I FELT ALONE
BUT ALL THE WHILE I KNEW I HAD TO ANSWER YOUR CALL
THE WAVES WILL LEAD ME HOME
THE WAVES WILL LEAD ME HOME.....

Beauty, from the heart of a true poet. My heart goes out to you. I lost my only daughter at age 24 in 2002. Thanks for sharing this lovely poem with us.

Very appropriate and touching. She must have been a true child of the sea. My daughter is a lifeguard and will surely enjoy this one.

This poem and story behind it touched me. I have three daughters that I adore and can't imagine the pain. Man, she must have been beautiful on so many levels. Jerry

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
