    Poem Commentary

Line 12 credit to Elliot Smith from the song Miss Misery

    from the bartenders pen

I'll deal with this night like all the rest
Pabst and johnny walker best friends of loneliness
I see all the locals living their sin
I dredge all the dives and try to fit in
But its all too upbeat so further ill sink
Writing sad songs on napkins with the bartenders ink
Drinking and pondering my greatest regrets
Exploring the pyramids on my pack of cigarettes
The days that ache last so much longer
And i laugh at claims that it only makes you stronger
As much as it hurts to steal from elliotts tune
But 'you know me ill come back when you want me to'
I wish i could make you understand how i feel
But these are the words that you dont want to hear
So ill keep trying to live with my lies
For the days that pass by with the blink of an eye.
