Poem Commentary

This was inspired by an ex girlfriend and a pint of Evan Williams.

love in time

Somewhere...  I shall find you

Somewhere... I awake and you're not here,
The house is cold, no signs of you,
Where are all the pictures?
They never existed,
I walk, I breathe, and I live,
I try to imagine you, but the anxiety swallows me,
I've held my breath too long waiting,
You never come.

Somewhere... You awake, and I'm gone,
You're house is cold, no signs of me,
All the missing photographs,
We never took them,
You walk, you breathe, you do exist,
You try to imagine me, but sorrow enfolds you,
You've held your breath too long,
Im still waiting.

Somewhere... We awake, held in embrace,
Enveloped by the warmth of home,
Our still frame memories cover the walls,
We took them together,
We walk, we breathe, we love,
We imagine life without eachother, but its impossible,
We held our breath long enough,
Finally we exhale.
