Full Moon

Full Moon

Arises, floats, driven

Across dark heavens

Dances among the stars

Hides behind gray cloud afar

Spherical face

So fair yet so pale

So dreamy yet evil

So warm yet cool

Supreme yet meek

But loved and feared

It glows without radiance

Over shadow of hill's ambiance

Its marvelous facet lethal

Garlanded by airborne immortals

Allures weeping wolves

In the silence of night’s evolve

Many a ode to the beautiful elusive moon...yours is most lovely. Someone wrote about it gaining weight, was it kmooney? I can't remember. I liked yours the best though. Carry on my friend.

Thanks a lot, pal. We're goin' to witness a partial solar eclipse tomorrow I guess. Hope it would be a cloudless sky.

This is very good descriptive poetry. Very easy to follow, and captures the imagination and hold it. Great job!

The full moon falls prey on many poems and stories for instance I have written two poems about the full moon that are apropos to yours. One is called The Full Moon Over Blue Waters and the other is The Moon Shines on The Blue Lagoon. Neither are posted here as of yet. Anyway your poem tells an interesting story with extraordinary imagery provoking the thought of the reader. Totally awesome !! LOL, BDC
