    Going Home

    Going Home

I have lived my life and can no longer stay
The lord has called me to come his way.

My job here is finished and all is done
May a part of me be with you as your life goes on.

You have supported me well through my time of trial
And memories of you will be with me as I walk my last mile.

As the sun shines bright and is warm upon your face
Know that I am in my rightful place.

Hold true to the faith that will set you free
For there will come a day when again, you will be beside me.

may we all have the poise to say this in our last hours

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
