    Goodbye My Friend

Miles and miles away you’ve gone
There is nothing left here… night or dawn
You took a lonely trip to the eternal place
Gave us back all the memories we’re fond

Chilling wind and few threads of sun shine
Cup of coffee, cigarette smoke, and scattered mind
Just want to sit there… sink in quiet
Let thoughts wander, feeling floats… meanwhile

Twenty some years have gone by…
We’re not any more side by side
Chit chatting… or a cigarette break
Lunch together… or just counting time

    It’s just surreal… but you’re not here
Can not believe… that you’re not near
Friends get together gathering our past
You’ve gone to place… without cry or cheer

Don’t want you go without saying goodbye
But you’re just gone deep into the night
You keep walking to the timeless place
… We just don’t want to say goodbye…
