gotta guitar,a map, and is lost in her eyes

    She says...
    Play me a song.
    A song about tomorrow.
    So he plays...
    Right along.
With a voice no longer filled with sorrow.

As his fingers grace the strings.
    In an extraordinary style.
    To her face...it quickly brings....
    An extraordinary smile.

    Not one note...
    Is out of tune.
    No words he wrote...
    Are sung too soon.

    He looks ate...her...
    Fights back his joyful tears.
    Cuz he's so..damn...sure..
He's stripped away....all of her fears.

They both know the things that matter.
They both know the things that don't.
One's from the past...have left her shattered.
But she knows that this one won't.

    He sets down his guitar...
    And slowly walks away.
    But not very far....
    Cuz he returns right away.

    With a ring in hand...
    Golden with passion...sparkling with love.
    She says,"you shouldn't have."
And he softly says, "I could never love you too much."

And there's no need for him to finish the song.
Cuz in there hearts they know...
    That the chorus goes along...
    A little something like this.......

    It's just...
    You and I.
For the rest of our lives.
    Two beating hearts...
    That sing right along...
To the rythem of this everlasting song.
    And someday we'll runaway..
    So far away...
    Someday.

    Their hearts...
    Beating frantically.
    He says...
    So romantically....

    "Your so...
    blessed with beauty...
I'm so intrigued by your grace...
    so come on my cutie...
let's get away from this place."

    And she'll take his hand...
    They'll travel slow.
    Making their own map...
    While they hit the road...
    with no looking back.

    These thoughts fill his dreams...
    And they fill her's too.
    And each new day brings...
Them closer to having their dreams come true.

    But as for now....
They'll stand the test of time.
    They'll stick it out.
    They are eachother's...
    till the end of time.

    And he say's...
    "I could care less...
of what all the others think or say...
cuz we both know what's best...
    for you..and me.

    then softly sings to her...

    It's just...
    You and I.
For the rest of our lives.
    Two beating hearts...
    That sing right along...
To the rythem of this everlasting song.
    And someday we'll runaway..
    So far away...
    Someday.

    So where will they go...
When it's time to escape this place.
    Don't gotta rush the choice.
Cuz they've got time to waste.

And he'd waste every second of every day.
    Holding her...
    In his grasp.
    And he'd do anything....
    to slow time's lapse.

    And as you can see.
    His heart's on his sleeve.
    And her's is as well.
    And he loves....that she fell....

    For him again...

If it was up to him...
    They'd be so far away.
    So they sleep-to-dream...
    That they've finally gotten away.

    It's just...
    You and I.
For the rest of our lives.
    Two beating hearts...
    That sing right along...
To the rythem of this everlasting song.
    And someday we'll runaway..
    So far away...
    Someday.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
