    Grief

    Grief

They say it will get better

I say that they didn’t know my Dad

    They say it takes time,

I say you don’t understand the loss of a great man

They say time heals all wounds of grief

I say the wounds never really close, time is just different

They say remember the good times

I say that is what makes me cry,

They say your Dad wouldn’t want you to cry

I say you didn’t know this amazing man I call Daddy as I did

They say focus of the good memories

Now, mostly tears of remembrance, of my Dad

A good, honorable, loving, supportive man,

     my Father John Harris
