    Guardian

You took one look at me.
    And saved my very life.
You brought my dieing soul back.
    And returned love to me.
You answered the cry of a dieing woman.
And kept her from the brink.
You showed me the future and what it held in store.
    And made the past disappear.
    You stole my heart.
    And gave me your instead.
You above all others rose and became my guardian.
