    Half and Half

    the shifting of the darkness
    the shadows of the night
    the screams of mournful children
    when fear enables fright
    The shining sun at morning
    the couples laughter rings
    inside the steepled churches
    the people start to sing
    The babys left on doorsteps
    the demons from our minds
    the sufferer and the meager
    the ending of their time
    The midnight stars that glitter
the beggining of a new race
    the world was starting over
he could see it on her face.
    They went so far away,
a place that no one knows
    their love was everlasting
they went were no one goes.
    The gods asked for sacrifice
    to save their simple earth
for the price of human lives,
    would start the worlds re-birth.
    They looked at each other,
they knew why they had came
    they shared a simple thought
"id do it all the same"
    They jumped into the fire
    the leaped right in together,
for they knew thed never be parted,
that their love would last forever
our home was saved by true loves gift,
    it blossoms ever still
    our simple planet saved,
by the force of human will.
    Yet still the shadows linger,
    and still the night remains,
    and still the people tremble
and are frightend all the same
we still let money and power rule us
all we want is personal gain...
so im asking you all to change your lives,
and save this world some pain

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
