half light chasm

half light chasm

twilight silhouettes breed comfort,
gaze to your eyes,
actions speak over words,
my heart beats for you.

will you always wait for me,
as we hold off for awhile,
ill never forget you,
you're needed by my side.

dragging me down,
burning apathy,
i have no life outside you,
its bleeding me out,
separation kills me.

disemboweld my insides,
the absence of life,
abundance of death,
sustaining on strife,
never enough, a painful breath.

so engage human life,
enraged,
this half light chasm.

"disemboweld my insides, the absence of life, abundance of death, sustaining on strife, never enough, a painful breath—powerful and gritty. poetically solid. bravo!! peace and light, dah

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
