He Is

    He Is

As slowly I open the gate
    To the lights of life
    I saw a dark side
    Of an unknown reality

    Seeing what lies on it
Is a matter of searching for it
    And crossing in between
    The bad and good things

    Like looking at yesterday
    Bridging the today
    To the tomorrow
    Of a future identity

    From one step backward
    To the step forward
    It’s a long way
To see the meaning of life

    But I’m still here
    Roaming around
    To the endless sky
    Cover by clouds of emptiness

    Flying like a bird
    On top of the tree
    Swimming like a fish
    To the vast seven seas

    And all of it
    Only One can know everything
    Where should I will be
His footstep will be my guide

    To the place
    I could see the eternity
And that would be the answer
    Be with me My LORD…

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
