Here’s To

Here’s to the good times
We’ve shared in our life
Amidst all the turmoil
The chaos and strife

Here’s to the good times
The laughs that we shared
When nothing could stop us
Because we both cared

Here’s to the good times
The journeys we shared
So in love with each other
Though seldom declared

Here’s to the road trips
The places we went
The sites that we saw
That made us content

Here’s to the fires
We sat by at night
Knowing that somehow
It all seemed so right

Here’s to the ground
Were we planted our dreams
And worked side by side
As a formidable  team

We’ve built oasis
From grounds barren and scarred
And filled us with pride
Transforming those yards

Here’s to the chaos
That made us both strong
And although we won’t amid it
Together we do belong

Here’s to the chaos
I always seem to cause
But deep in my heart
It always gave me pause

Here’s to the memories
We created and share
Both the good and the bad
They will ways be there

Here’s to the memories
Here’s to the dreams
Here’s to the way
We take things to extremes

Here’s to discussions
We never could have
Because we’re so stubborn
They usually ended up bad

Here’s to the changes
Through all of these years
We both tried to make
Amid our trepidations, anxiety, fears

Here’s to the smiles
From a thought we possess
It’s things like that
That you’ll never suppress

Here’s to thinking
Though at times the thoughts wrong
That in some complicated formula
Together, we just don’t belong

But here’s to believing
Notions dropped by the side
That the whole world awaits us
If we’ll just take the ride

Here’s to the happiness
Here’s to the sorrow
The past is the past
Here’s to tomorrow

Here’s to a heart
That can only be filled
By that one special person
With whom I’ve always been thrilled

Here’s to the words
Written this night
And deep in your heart
You know their quite right

Here’s to the good times, the bad times
The sorrow and strife
The joy and the happiness
Changes in our lives

Here’s to mountains
Seem too tall to cross
Or valleys so deep
Seems we’ll never get across

Here’s to two people
Commanding and strong
Meant for each other
Through life to travel along

Here’s to the good times
Here’s to the bad
Here’s to the happiness
Here’s to the sad

Here’s to two people
Meant to be one
Two strong in devotion
To stay, too long, undone
