His Suicide

His Suicide

I walk into a room,
I've walked into a million times,
Feeling that there was something not right,
I look to my left,
And I immediately pause,
frozen,
Though my mind tells me to move,
When I realize what my eyes have seen,
I run to his side,
Hope quickly fades,
And desperation takes it's place,
As I feel the cold stiffnes of his body,
Frantically I try to untie the knot he bound,
My shaking hands just wont allow,
I drop to my knees,
Faith finally tested,
A touch of his lips frightens me,
A feeling I've never felt,
There was no life in this body I had once held,
with passion
and love,
and tenderness,
and care,
No there was nothing there,
I still to this day,
Cannot believe he's gone,
He held my whole world in his rough tattered palm,
Though life with him was tough,
I'm broken without him by my side,
But I have to be alright,
For when he left me,
He didn't leave me alone,
We shared our love love,
In a beautiful baby boy.

yes it is a true poem. My fiance commited suicide because well honestly i'm not going to say i know for sure but i think it was because of his drug problem. He hung hisself in our kitchen. I found him and it was most def the hardest thing to deal with fo me because i loved him with all my heart.

wow that was very deep totally overwhelmed me...its sad too i cant begin to imagine your loss it takes alot of courage to write about it,much respect, bless.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
