    Hold On

gurl, let me teach you how to wait
    sit there/hold on/stand by
    i'll be back/when you'll see
just wait /for how long you ask?
    you'll see/i'll show you in a few
for just a little while longer
i'm almost there, just hold on
who cares how long it takes
the object of the game is to wait
i've spent more time waiting than receiving
it better be worth it/my time is precious
so why should my life sit still waiting
is this what life is all about
    one anticipation to the next?
    Ah! I see the anticipation
makes the wait worth the while
    never would've guessed it!
So the next time someone says wait
    you smile

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
