Hope holds my hand
Believe it I feel free, though my head ache there is a peace, simple laughter tickles my soul. I see a ray of light in the mist of the gray clouds that surround me. Keep my eye on the ray of hope; keep my eye on the light. I want to run toward it with all of my might, to get away from the craziness, away from the voice that tears me down. I must walk one step at a time, I hear him whisper to me.” Slowly child I will guide your way, run you will fall its much to dark in here.” I look around the fear returns I hold on the hand of hope with all my might, “get me through, get me through” then another step, another day, I feel free, hope grows brighter, joy calls to me, kindness and goodness are shadows that means they are close by. Wounded, torn and shattered I lean on hope for I can’t make it on my own.
