How do you leave him behind?
When all the times you shared haunt your mind?
He said he would never do you wrong
And that you and him belong
All my life I wanted that someone
That safety that we all search for
The one we can say anything to without thought
The one we can hold without hesitation
The one we can love without restriction
I thought I found that in him
But he loved with restriction
He held me with hesitation
He couldn't say anything without thought
Instead, he pulled away from what was real
He left my mind tangled
I didn't know what to feel
How do you let him go
When you still have more love to show?
Shall I remain a friend?
Or just let this battle end?
