    How much more?

    On Monday, I'm waiting.

    On Tuesday, I'm praying.

    Wednesday, I'm fading.

    Thursday, I'm crying.

    Friday, I'm dying.

How much more of this can I take?

Every minute of the day I'm sitting beside the phone

    Waiting for your call.

    I'm about to fall

and there's nobody to catch me.

How much more of this can I take?

    My heart is at stake.

You tell me you love me,

    but this isn't love

    this is torture.

On Saturday, I'm on a search for my missing heart.

    Sunday, I'm at church

    praying to get over you.

    But I can't

I will never find another like you

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
