    Hung Up

    Hung up is this-
    On this,
    Alone
    On walls,
Of a room built for two,
    Picture-
    You will see.

    These two,
    Each hand in hand
    Of the other,
    In laughter,
    In love,
    In lasting in heart.

    And wonder will you
    In this
    Same room we sat,
    Will there be-
    A break in the lateness,
    Of early already
    Just another day,
    Overcast haze

    Or this,
    Call it will you
    In some form,
    Destiny.

All we can hope for -
    The end.
    As morning begins.

This piece is destined to be a winner!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
