    I am your muse
    I am wilted
    like a flower
    in the scortching sun
    without water
    I am bruised
    like an apple
    tossed on to the floor
    I am befriended
    by the evil that surrounds me
    I am tainted
    with darkness
    I am, I am empty

    your hateful words
    replay in my mind
    over and over again
    I am shredded inside
    and you stand over me
    laughing as if i were your muse
    I am utterly alone
    battered and bruised

    I am wilted
    like a flower
    in the scortching sun
    without water
    I am Iam burned
    by the flames
    that youve placed upon me
    and you stand over me
    laughing while i burn
    I am burning
    I am wilted.

    I too, enjoyed this poem. It is expressive, in a way I was not expecting. I wanted to find out what exactly "dark poetry" meant. Cool.- Elke
