I APPRECIATE THE STRENGTH IN YOU

I see the struggle, the despair in your face
All the while standing strong just trying to stake your place

You stood strong and steady your legs like concrete
Debunking stereotypes and myths trying to consistently stay on your two feet

I Appreciate the Strength in You!

You’ve been called a player, and even been called a dog, you have even been blamed for the cause of someone else’s emotional rain

You stand strong trying to help ease the pain
Realizing that in the end blame became the fame

I Appreciate the Strength in You!

Your look, your touch, your scent, your mind, your body, your soul has been heaven sent
Complimenting my womanhood with just your intense presence

Yes, I can accomplish my own damn goals, and even make my own damn money
Even though I’m okay with being by myself I still like having a Honey Bunny

I Appreciate the Strength in You!

You make love to my mind knowing my body will follow
Not even touching me got me eager to cuddle

Your kisses so sweet, your touch giving me heat
Enter me with your manhood making me feel sensually complete

I Appreciate the Strength in You!

I see many shades, different degrees of personalities
Short and tall, bold and strong, capable and courage, worthy and respectful and it all has me in awe appreciating all of your varieties

Lover, provider, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and all man
Having wanting, needing all that you are, with you complimenting my world is in my master plan

Many things can be said about you, many things will be said about you
But one thing that is being said is:

I Appreciate the Strength in You!!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
