    For my mom, 8 years on the 22nd of January 2011

    I can't

     I can't get past that night..
    That painful night..
    I can't get past the words..
    Move on..
    I can't get past the fears..
    Your gone..
    I can't get past the pain..
    I can't get you back..
    I prayed for God to take me instead..
    Let you live, & let me dead..
    I can't get past the pain I still feel..
    Sometimes I wish it was  only a dream,
    Not a bit real..
    Angel of death or theif in the night..
    Either one, they took you out of sight..
    I can't get past the tears..
    Even though its been 8 years..
    The pain is still here..
    Still very clear..
