I Dont Trust You To Trust Me

I dont trust you to trust me
What I say got your face lookin ugly
Screwfacin your faces like what Im sayin is musty
    Im playin gin rummy dummy
And I got three of a kind
    My Trios divine
    No telescope Galileo I shine
    I rhyme on occasion
Looked at the lines on my paper
    Read in between the lines
And I saw the rhymes I was makin
you can try to ride at my station
But the time and my patience
    Is what you lack
    Pay me undivided attention
I might just pay you back.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
