I dream

    I dream

    Darkness surrounds us

Your warm nakedness curved against me

Nose buried in my knotted curls

    Our breathing rhythmic

    Arm thrown across my stomach

    Drawing me closer to you

Almost protecting me from my self imposed burdens

    Beneath my warm comforter

I am lost in a blissful dream

    I dream of the ocean

    My own slice of heaven

Curled toes buried in the warm sand

Gulls fly above my head, calling to each other

Or is it me they try to entice?

The waves creeping closer to me

Head tilted back breathing in the fresh air

My face stretched toward the sky

The warm sun kissing my pale skin

The salty air plays with my hair

    Ocean mist cools my skin

My body comfortable in the warm sun

For a brief moment the only weight I feel is your fingertips

    Drawing across my broad shoulders

Almost as if magically lifting the weight of the world from my protection

All my heavy worries lifted with your caress

    You lighten my Burdens

Tonight you have lifted my heavy soul

    I am at peace
